Maybe you are visiting Texas to see family or maybe you are coming for a working vacation. There are many different things you can do to fill your spare time with fun and exciting activities. No matter what you are into Texas has lots of cool things to tell your friends about when you get back home.

A Day at the Amusement Park
Arlington
If you are looking for an Amusement Park in the Arlington Texas area I highly recommend the Six Flags over Texas. They are open 10 months of the year and have many different rides and amusements both exciting and tame rides to make sure everyone gets what they are looking fun from the day.

Fiesta Texas
Just as the park in Arlington the Fiesta Texas Park is also a Six Flags theme Park featuring many of the same rides as in the Arlington Park and with many of its own rides that can not be ridden anywhere else in the world like the Boomerang and the Goliath.

The Real Texas Experience
Visit a Rodeo:
A Rodeo is a pretty cool experience. Watching the Cowboys rope the calves or doing some trick ridding or even rigging the bull can be lots of fun to watch and exciting as well. Back in the day ranch owners would hold a rodeo as a way to hire new cowboys. He would hold events and offer the winners jobs. Today the rodeo has been turned into a heavily sponsored sport and broadcasted on cable sports stations around the world. Rodeos are not as popular as poker or NASCAR, but its popularity is growing

Dude Ranches:
Maybe you always dreamed of being a real cowboy. Then you may want to try a few days on the dude ranch. Take long rides on horseback, sit around the fire listening to tales of Cowboys past, and get your food of the Chuck Wagon and eat in the great outdoors that Texas has to offer.

While the boys are off acting manly, here is a bit about the Shopping Texas has to offer.
As the old clich? goes "Everything is Bigger in Texas" this is true about their malls and Outlet centers. Texas offers you every big name store from Neiman Marcus to Sears and many small Mom and Pop shops that cater to all your gift needs.

Looking to Spend a Few Days of Fun in the Sun
Texas has over 600 miles of coast, on the always warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the countries most beautiful beaches can be found there. They offer everything from daily groomed sand to fully equipped playgrounds for the kids, and if eating sand filled sandwiches is not sounding appealing to you there are many food and beverage stands for you to choose from offering pizza, burgers and many of your favorite foods.

Find a Place to Stay
Texas is a very large state and has many attractions all over the state to visit, ad for this reason you can find many places to sleep for a few nights and one of Texas's many camping sites where you can sleep outside under the stars of in a wide variety of hotels varying in price per night.
