Guides Part 3 --Encounters With Healing Guides

If you begin a healing journey you may encounter many guides along the way, and some for only one day or one hour. They come to help you get past a certain block or obstacle in your life or to encourage you that you are on the right path and you should keep on walking it. On that healing journey for an example you may meet a healer who teaches you how to begin to heal yourself and not to give your power away to others who may misuse it.

You may have several encounters with that particular healer until you no longer need her or him. Then when you have progressed in your thinking and are ready for a greater concept of healing, you may encounter a healer/teacher who can teach you how to heal yourself on a deeper level and then encourage you to take that healing knowledge to help others. You may receive an initiation in that healing art such as in Reiki. In which the Reiki master teacher initiates the dormant energy of healing to a more active level.

If you are walking a new path of clearing and purification, you may suddenly meet a person who lives and sustains herself or himself by juicing. She comes with very specific knowledge or a range of knowledge on the very specific subject of purification. Another example is an encounter with a teacher unlike any other, such as a yoga teacher that you may walk with for many years.

On a path with a true guide there comes a point where you naturally accumulate all of the knowledge that is of use for you and then you begin to outgrow the guide?s knowledge. It is then time to move on. A true guide will know this and will not hinder you on your path. It creates an imbalance in your life and the energy field around you if you stay longer than is necessary with a guide. That imbalance will be a spur to move on.

Pay attention to how you feel with a guide. Does the information sound right or wrong to you. Is there some way that the information can be verified? If a plan is laid out for you there should be an efficiency of steps that you can take. Each step can come with new information, learning, and progression. Even if the steps seem illogical there should be a reason why you are being asked to take this path or changing your focus or direction.

It is important even if something sound illogical that it feels good or right to you. For an example the task should not put you further in debt if that is going to cause you unrest or panic. A guide should not put you in harms way, or ask you to do something that you know in your heart is wrong. You have to be comfortable with the steps even if you do not understand each one. If a plan is laid out, it has a bigger picture, that if you ask, you can begin seeing the whole picture of where you are going and how you are going to get there.copyright 2006 Yoga Kat
